IRI Announces New Alliance with HP

IRI Joins HP Infrastructure Partner Program

Melbourne, Fla. (December 5, 2008) – Innovative Routines International (IRI), Inc., a leading developer of big data transformation and data-centric protection software, has allied with Hewlett-Packard (HP) to raise the visibility of CoSort on HP servers worldwide. IRI's flagship CoSort package manipulates large amounts of data on HP-UX systems across multiple industry segments, but its visibility within HP corporate has heretofore been focused mostly on mainframe-to-Unix migrations.

IRI Business Development VP David Friedland explained that "CoSort is IRI's flagship product and an industry-leading solution for transforming and reporting on big data, migrating legacy sorts, and in replacing many SQL, shell, and 3GL programs with a faster, smaller, and less complex 4GL program scripts. HP is one of the leading manufacturers of computer products, software, and technology solutions in the world. Together, we can offer the resources and knowledge needed to process big data faster and more cost-effectively in data warehousing, business intelligence, and vertical market applications, too."

The HP Infrastructure Advantage Partner Program (IAPP) is designed for independent software vendors with "HP-platform-ready" applications interested in proactively offering their full range of compatible solutions to HP customers. An extension of the HP Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP), IAPP provides additional services to cross-industry partners like IRI. Program benefits include co-branded collateral, engineering resources, and increased visibility with HP field organizations.

Mark Jones manages the IRI alliance within HP's Enterprise Storage and Servers Infrastructure Solution Alliances unit. "From the earliest days of HP-UX on PA-RISC to newer Integrity and blade platforms for Linux and Windows, IRI has always made CoSort and its compatible offerings available to our customers," he observed. CoSort software on HP hardware enables and accelerates mission-critical operations at companies like Weyerhaeuser, NAL Worldwide, and Fortis Clearing. "Joint successes like these prove the commercial superiority of open systems and the benefits of bringing best-of-breed technologies together. We are now making our sales and services teams aware of CoSort's availability on HP 11i v3 next."

CoSort is licensed for perpetual use and discounted in volume across HP's PA-RISC, Itanium, and x86-based servers, workstations, and even laptops. For more details, please visit www.iri.com/products/CoSort or email info@iri.com.
