CoSort V10.5 Supports More Data Sources for Manipulation, Masking and Testing

IRI Updates Flagship Data Transformation Tool and Broadens Spinoff Use Cases

Melbourne, FL - June 30, 2021 - Innovative Routines International (IRI, The CoSort Company), has announced the first major update to its big data processing product since this date in 2018, CoSort 10.5. CoSort 10.5 introduces direct support for the integration, masking, cleansing, conversion, reporting and synthesis of data in XLS and XLSX spreadsheets (Excel), native call detail record (CDR) formats compatible with the ASN.1 telco industry standard, and Data Vault 2.0 (DV2) database models.

CoSort is a robust data manipulation package used worldwide for data warehouse ETL and DB load acceleration, BI/analytic data preparation, and legacy sort and data migration. Its core Sort Control Language (SortCL) program is also the core processing engine of CoSort spinoffs: FieldShield (data masking), RowGen (subsetting and synthesis), NextForm (data and database migration), and Voracity (all of the above plus data integration, cleansing, and reporting).

Beyond the additional data sources, CoSort now also supports:

  • direct DB value lookups for data transformation, pseudonymization and synthesis
  • encrypted DB login credentials and field-level passphrases for masking jobs
  • IRI Workbench built on Eclipse 2020-06 with embedded 64-bit JRE 1.8.
  • a purpose-built app for Splunk to execute and consume data from SortCL jobs
  • dashboard visualizations for data-class based search results in IRI Workbench
  • Integration with the ValueLabs Test Data Hub to create, modify, and launch SortCL scripts for data masking, subsetting, or synthesis jobs

“The latest CoSort release is a logical extension to the unique data and functional consolidation capabilities of the SortCL program,” observed IRI Software & Services Director Lisa Mangino. More specifically, its users can “add Excel, CDRs, and DV2 sources and targets to the existing mix of static and streaming data sets, and thus broaden the scope of enterprise data processing, protection, and prototyping possibilities in CoSort-powered spinoff products or the Voracity data management platform,” she added.
