IRI offers internship opportunities to college students in Brevard County (EFSC, FIT, Keiser, etc.) and Central Florida (UCF, Rollins, Valencia, etc.) -- and sometimes further afield -- in a variety of disciplines:

Skills Involved
Software Development Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing modules, routines, utilities and UI elements within the IRI product stack in Eclipse. Interface to third-party software from the IRI Workbench and document operational steps for end-users. Research and leverage emerging big data technologies as you collaborate on state-of-the-art programs and value-added integrations.

Java, C, C++, VB.NET, COBOL, Eclipse, databases, SQL, Hadoop. Some technical writing.
Software Testing Create, perform, and record tests on IRI's data management and protection tools and libraries in and outside the Eclipse GUI. Testing types include: compatibility, destructive, integration, system, usability, performance, and pre-UAT. Formal testing methodologies, shell programming, Eclipse, Java, C/C++, database(s), SQL

Install, populate, and configure modern predictive analytics platforms to combine a large scale data integration and reporting operation in various proof-of-concept assignments.

Business Development/ Social Media/ Research

Research, identify, and communicate via professional and social networks, technical forums, blogs, and various portals in the big data integration and data masking (data privacy protection) niches of the IT industry.

IT/business/ marketing background, excellent English

Web Graphics/ Video Production

Info-graphics development, image selection/modification, animation, and/or web videos. Design and deploy for web and related marketing collateral per guidance and enterprise objectives. Work on technical schematics, desktop publishing, profile photography, and interview videography.

Int'l Business Administration/
Technical Writing/Editing
Business and marcom activity coordination and collaboration, call and task scheduling, and translation of marketing literature and presentations (from English). Write, edit, format, and post in online IT forums and knowledge bases. Work with IRI's technical writing and tech support departments; gather, re-cast, and publish content driven by actual customers and partners. CRM, Excel, email, intranet, Skype/IM, excellent writing, fluency in English and other foreign language(s)

Though part-time job opportunities may exist, internships are more readily available, and are provided in exchange for: the experiential learning opportunity (and possible tuition/course credit), professional oversight / mentoring, and publication of your work in the IRI blog.
